More than just a Laundromat
The SSI Laundromat & Soap Exchange is a not-for-profit social enterprise founded by the Wagon Wheel Housing Society. Our mission is to be part of a collective community endeavour to provide safe, reasonable homes for all islanders.
We provide essential services to our local community, including eco-friendly laundry services, wheel-chair accessible shower, and community outreach programs.
Drop-off Services

Call us at 250-538-7059 to arrange a drop-off. We will take care of the rest!
Not only are these zero-waste eco-friendly soaps included in our laundry services, but we are your local provider for this Victoria-based company.

Join us in eliminating single-use plastic containers
You don't need to do your laundry here to benefit from the Soap Exchange program. We are your local provider for these 100% Canadian-made biodegradable soap products for your home and body. Bring your own container or purchase one from us and save $1 per refill!
A shower for everyone
Our amenities include a wheel-chair accesible shower available for 5 to 15 min intervals ($1 per min).
We offer towels ($1), shampoo, and conditioner ($0.50 each) as well.

micro Employment
You can support our micro-employment program (for seniors, people on disability, etc.) by adding your Country Grocer receipts into box 41 (found at the exit).

Give the gift of clean laundry or a shower for someone who needs it. Talk to us in store for details.
